Born 1965, female, patent professional, leading an undercover literary life, an Army brat, soon to be a Sydney resident, seeking a more visible literary presence. I have published a book of poems, 'The Pomegranate Tree' (Writers Workshop). More seriously I grew up in several towns in India due to a dad in the Army, did my college education at Xavier's, Mumbai and am a PhD in Polymer Science from IIT Mumbai . I dabbled with industrial research for a while (at Hindustan Lever) before switching to patent law. Most often, I write, sketch, snap pics for my friends and these are usually poems, travel pieces, vignettes et al. Favourite authors include EM Foster, Joseph Campbell, Tagore and Paul Theroux. Favourite destination of the moment - Yunnan Province, China.<<
